has anyone with Erectile Dysfunction ever held a girl friend for a long time?

Erectile Dysfunction | Posted by Admin

I had erectile dysfunction for 2 years now, and I have been hesitant to ask girls out because of my ED< i was just wondering if anyone out there with ED has ever had a girl friend?

Chosen Answer:

Relax – Your nervous system operates in two modes. When the sympathetic nerve network is dominant, your body is ‘on alert’. Nerves shuttle your blood away from your digestive system and penis and into your muscles. This occurs when you become anxious. When you are relaxed, your parasympathetic nervous system takes over. Signals that travel along this network will direct the arteries and sinuses of the penis to expand and let more blood flow in.

Yoga and Meditation – Yoga and meditation can reduce the effects of stress and relieve anxiety about the condition. Yogasanas such as dhanurasana, sarvangasana, and halasana are considered highly beneficial.

Medications such as Viagra and Sildenafil increase blood flow to the penis which enhances sexual performance.

Although these drugs can help to treat the problem, they have some adverse side effects which include headache, upset stomach, flushing and vision problems and even cardiovascular problems.

More serious conditions such as low blood pressure and heart attacks may occur as a result of these side effects

There are also a number of natural and holistic treatments such as nutritional supplements, herbal remedies and acupuncture that are highly effective in treating impotence. A variety of herbs have been identified as having strong aphrodisiac properties along with the ability to improve sexual functioning and overall systemic health.

Herbs such as Epimedium grandiflorum, also known as Horny Goats Weed are natural sexual stimulators that encourage performance and testosterone production. Tribulus terristis contains aphrodisiac properties and also promotes muscle strength and prowess.

One of the most well known herbs, Eleutherococcus senticosis which is also known as Siberian ginseng, promotes male or ‘yang’ energy, aids circulation, supports natural vitality and also acts as an overall systemic supporter.

In addition, Smilax ornata (also known as Sarsaparilla) is used as a supportive tonic for male genital development while Kola vera combats fatigue and increases energy levels. Be sure to source your natural remedies from reputable companies to ensure maximum safety, efficacy and therapeutic dosage.

what is the best erectile dysfunction medication?

Erectile Dysfunction | Posted by Admin
Jan 05 2012

i do not like those perscription drugs because of the site affects for erectile dysfunction i have diabetes and blood pressure problems of which i take two pills a day for.

Chosen Answer:

I have heard from many with the same problem. Medicines for Diabetes and High Blood Pressures really cause erectile dysfunctions. Ask your doctor for any alternative medication, telling him about your problem. But don’t stop by yourself. Diabetes and High Blood Pressure needs very close care and medication and can cause severe damage if you will not take your medicine regularly. I have been told that once you started taking those medications, you have to take them for life. Others say that herbal medicines sometimes help, but I don’t know if you can find them in your locality.

ED is mainly caused by improper blood flow in penis or inability of penis to retain blood for erections.

There are many other causes too and many time ED is due to psychological factors.

Is taking Cialis used to increase libido for female?

Cialis | Posted by Admin
Dec 09 2011

My step daughter was taking Cialis because her husband told he it would increase her libido. I have never heard of this for women taking ED pills to increase the libido. Is there a rumor floating out here about that or was it a line he made up to get her to take them. Unfortunately she is no longer with us so I can not ask her these questions.

Chosen Answer:

Your step daughter’s husband probably killed her with these pills. Cialis is NOT for increasing libido! It’s for increasing blood flow. If your step daughter had perfect blood pressure, the pills likely caused an unsafe drop in pressure, even causing her death.

I suggest you have your step daughter’s widower investigated for murder.

Is it safe to take Ginkgo and L-arginine together and does it help with erectile dysfunction?

Erectile Dysfunction | Posted by Admin
Nov 27 2011

I’m just taking these to get my blood flowing again plus I just asked someone about is it safe to take both the other day and they told me both are good for erectile dysfunction and make you last longer in bed and I had no clue it does that because that’s not what I’m taking it for only to get my blood flowing.

Chosen Answer:

Ginkgo and L-arginine are nutritional supplements that are safe to take together (at a reasonable dose, as with anything, taking too much could be harmful). Both are commonly used for improving circulation which may therefore be also beneficial for erectile dysfunction (ED) (especially if circulation is a cause). However, the notion that these supplements may make you last longer in bed is not true. I am not aware of any evidence of this effect. There are exercises you can perform that can help in this, but nutritional supplements are likely not effective. Kegal exercises can help you control ejaculation for longer sex. See here for more info: http://sexuality.about.com/od/anatomyresponse/ht/kegelsmen.htm

Arginine is a common and natural amino acid. It is commonly used for circulatory problems becasue it is an NO (Nitric Oxide) precursor. NO causes relaxation and dilation of your blood vessels allowing blood to flow. The theory is that by taking arginine, you can potentially increase the amount of NO in the blood, and therefore improve circulation.

Ginkgo biloba tree leaf extract has been used therapeutically in China for millennia. The active ingredients of Ginkgo biloba extracts contain many different substances but most of them fall into two main categories: Terpenoid lactones and Flavonoids. Ginkgo is most commonly used to help memory and mental function (and research reveals this effect may be due to increased circulation in the brain.)

In terms of erectile dysfunction, there may be a benefit to using both arginine and ginkgo (because of the circulatory benefits). See the following sites for specific research in regards to the effect of arginine and ginkgo for ED:

http://www.erectiledysfunctioncentral.org/?s=arginine

http://www.erectiledysfunctioncentral.org/?s=ginkgo

Dosage is also a key factor. One study with a low dose showed no effect with ED (http://www.erectiledysfunctioncentral.org/erectile-dysfunction-research/effect-of-oral-administration-of-high-dose-nitric-oxide-donor-l-arginine-in-men-with-organic-erectile-dysfunction-results-of-a-double-blind-randomized-placebo-controlled-study/) and another study with high dose revealed some benefit for ED (http://www.erectiledysfunctioncentral.org/erectile-dysfunction-research/effectiveness-of-oral-l-arginine-in-first-line-treatment-of-erectile-dysfunction-in-a-controlled-crossover-study/)

It would be advisable to seek professional advise from an expert in nutritional supplements (i.e. Naturopathic Doctor or MD with training in nutrition).

Here is another good article on nutrional supplementation (including arginine and ginkgo): http://www.erectiledysfunctioncentral.org/erectile-dysfunction-research/nutrients-and-botanicals-for-erectile-dysfunction-examining-the-evidence-2/ (click on the yellow “alternative medicine review” button for the full article)

What is the difference between Viagra and Cialis? what is the active ingredient in these products?

Cialis | Posted by Admin
Nov 25 2011

I am curious about how these products work. How do they cause the physical reaction? What is in the pills?

Chosen Answer:

Viagra (sildanafil) and Cialis (tadalafil) are made by different manufacturers but are both considered PDE inhibitors – increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This increased blood flow can cause an erection. It allows the blood vessels of the lungs to relax, basically “sending” the blood to where it needs to go.
Viagra stays in the system for 24 hours.
Cialis stays in the system for 72 hours.

What are the risks of taking cialis with low blood pressure?

Cialis | Posted by Admin
Oct 31 2011

My partner and I are going to try cialis in a few days, I was wondering what are the problems that could occur from him taking it since he has really low blood pressure.

Chosen Answer:

Cialis and other phosphodiesterase inhibitors like it cause the muscles of blood vessels to relax and thus widen. This allows more blood flow to “a certain part of the man’s body” but also lowers blood pressure.

Consequences are..
1) lightheadedness
2) fainting
3) constricted vision (blood leaving the retinal vessels – temporally)

Precautions
1) be sure to be well hydrated and a little extra salty meal may be a good idea to prevent to BP from falling too far.
2) avoid alcohol, coffee or tea which can lead to fluid loss.
3) stay in the horizontal position, more or less
4) avoid getting up (standing up) suddenly.
5) when getting up (standing up), get up slowly and if feeling faint or vision diminishes, lay back down and consider propping the feet up.
6) if there is a history or risk for heart disease, stroke, severe anemia, use of heart meds, diuretics, certain meds to treat urination issues from enlarged prostate (alpha blockers) call his doctor before using Cialis or other drugs like it.

Enjoy.
